StarThrowers is a cooperative organization of parents who are working together to raise money for the medical and educational treatment of their kids with disabilities. StarThrowers is NOT currently a Non-profit organization, although we have plans to make it so in the future. As such, your contributions are considered a gift and are NOT tax-deductible.
However, unlike many Non-profit organizations that take 5%, 10%, 15% or even 20% of your donation to support Administrative overhead and operating costs, 100% of your gift will go DIRECTLY to the aid and treatment of the specific child you choose to help.

The challenges and difficulties are different for each child. Some need more medical treatment than educational. Some need more behavioral and educational than medical.
Unfortunately in many cases, there are children with certain health problems and disabilities that fall through the cracks. Insurance won't cover their condition; the school districts refuse to provide the needed support, and cash-strapped government agencies are unable to help.

As a result, the common problem facing all the families in StarThrowers is a huge financial burden for the medical and educational care and treatment of their child. In many cases, parents are faced with a choice between a staggering debt of expenses OR giving up and attempting no treatment at all.
It was for these children that StarThrowers was created. StarThrowers works with families and helps them to set up individual fundraising campaigns for their children with disabilities. StarThrowers provides direction and advice and leaves the administration of the campaign to the family and friends raising money for the child.
